What Owlray is

Owlray assembles a written report about a person you search for using publicly available information. Reports are billed against a monthly or yearly plan and are visible only to the account that ordered them.

Owlray is a research tool. It is not a background-check provider, credit bureau, or consumer reporting agency under United States law.

What you can use Owlray for

• Personal due diligence, such as learning more about a date, neighbor, contractor, acquaintance, or public figure
• Small-business diligence, such as researching a vendor or potential partner
• Journalism, scholarship, and lawful research where public-record review is appropriate

What you cannot use Owlray for

You may not use Owlray to make decisions about employment, credit, housing, insurance, or any other regulated eligibility purpose. Use a qualified FCRA-compliant provider for those decisions.

You may not use Owlray to stalk, harass, threaten, intimidate, or impersonate anyone.

You may not scrape, redistribute, resell, or publicly publish the contents of a report. The report is yours to read; it is not yours to retransmit.

Accuracy and AI

Owlray draws on public sources and AI models that summarize and connect findings. AI can be wrong, miss context, or infer a connection that is not there.

Every material claim in a report links to its source. You agree to open and verify those sources before relying on a report for an important decision.

Owlray does not write the underlying records. When a source is wrong, corrections must happen with the original publisher.

Reports are yours alone

Each report you generate is private to your account. We do not share it with the subject, other Owlray users, advertisers, or anyone else.

You may delete any report at any time. Deletion is permanent within 30 days.

Pricing, billing, and refunds

Owlray is billed as a monthly or yearly subscription. Each plan includes a set number of reports per month, and unused reports do not roll over. We may change future pricing with at least 30 days’ notice to active subscribers.

You may cancel at any time from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. A search that cannot produce a report because there is no usable match or because of a technical failure will not count against your allowance. For another billing issue, write to hello@owlray.ai within 7 days.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials safe and may not allow another person to use your account.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe are being used in violation of these terms.

Liability

Owlray is provided as-is. To the extent allowed by law, our total liability for anything related to Owlray is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Owlray is not liable for decisions you make based on a report. A report is a starting point; the decision remains yours.

Changes to these terms

If we materially change these terms, we will email customers with an active account at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Owlray after the effective date means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, U.S.A. Disputes are resolved in courts located in Natrona County, Wyoming.
